Jev Router: The Decision-First, Open-Source AI Router

Drop-in OpenAI APITyped, explainable routing decisionsFallbacks and guardrailsFree and open source (MIT)

In short

Jev Router is an open-source, OpenAI-compatible AI router from AI Anytime. Send any request with model "auto" and one Jev call answers a set of typed questions — which model fits, how demanding the task is, whether it needs a frontier model — so every request goes to the right-sized model, agent or tool, and the router tells you exactly why.

Decisions you can audit

Jev's typed answers — choice, score and yes/no with real probabilities — feed a transparent policy engine, and a full trace is stored for every request.

Four routers in one

Model routing, agent routing, tool routing and policy (guardrail) routing, with five strategies: balanced, quality, cheapest, fastest and privacy.

Hard constraints first

Context window, modalities, tools, JSON mode, privacy and budget filter the candidates; Jev only chooses among models that can actually serve the request.

Self-hosted, your keys

FastAPI and Docker, with a built-in dashboard for spend, savings, latency and traces. Clients hold only a router key; provider keys stay on your server.

FAQs

Jev Router: FAQs

More answers on the FAQ page, or ask us.

What is Jev Router?

Jev Router is AI Anytime's open-source, OpenAI-compatible LLM router. It uses Jev typed decisions to send each request to the right-sized model, agent or tool, and records why in a trace.

Is Jev Router a drop-in replacement for the OpenAI API?

Yes. It exposes /v1/chat/completions (including streaming) and /v1/models, so it works with the OpenAI SDKs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, the Vercel AI SDK and anything else that speaks the OpenAI API.

Which model providers does Jev Router support?

Liquid AI out of the box, plus OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Groq, OpenRouter and local Ollama, configured in one YAML file.

Is Jev Router free?

Yes. Jev Router is free and open source under the MIT license, and you can self-host it.
